Spitale Transportations
is looking for brokerage and trucking agents who are primarily
involved in the movement of flatbed type freight.
Agent Package
Spitale Transportation,
founded in January 1997 and based in Searcy, Arkansas, is looking for
experienced brokerage and trucking agents who are primarily involved in
the movement of flatbed type freight. Spitale Transportation is a
specialized flatbed company with a small network of three outside
agents, the home office, and an experienced group of drivers capable of
oversize and time critical flatbed work.
Spitale Transportation is only looking for ethical long-term agents.
Please do not apply if this does not fit you. We offer a very
competitive commission split. Agents shall have the benefit of working
for a company with a reputation of honesty and integrity, and that is
growing—growing correctly—and will treat them as the valuable partner
that they are. We offer all the support for you that we have at our
disposal as well as our assistance while you are out of the office. For
up to two weeks out of the year you can forward your phones to us and we
will assist your customers with all the moves and rate quotes to the
best of our abilities. There is no additional charge for this service.
The same commission percentage will apply.
Spitale Transportation has two divisions: the truck line and the
brokerage line. Spitale, Co. is a for-hire contract carrier division and
has auto liability insurance and cargo liability insurance. Spitale,
Inc., the freight broker division, has contingent auto liability
insurance and contingent cargo liability insurance. We are very proud to
provide $2,000,000 worth of liability insurance over each division both
for our, and your, protection as well as an added advantage in marketing
our services to our customers.
Our agents’ commission split is 60/40 for brokerage moves through
Spitale, Inc., and a flat 8% for their Owner Operators that are leased
to Spitale, Co. Agent should set a target of 15% minimum gross average
commission on their brokerage freight.
Qualified agents shall have the opportunity to dispatch Leased owner
operators from their office at the discretion of Spitale, Co.
management. All safety and hiring practices of home office shall apply
to agent’s recruits. Agent shall prequalify O/O whom they wish to hire
and then forward application to Spitale, Co.’s safety director for
approval and hiring decision. If OO is approved for hire general
dispatch shall be handled by agent but all safety practices and policies
of Spitale, Co. shall apply. Commission shall be paid on revenue
generated by OO at a rate of 8% of gross revenue. In the event a load is
hauled by an OO dispatched by an agent which load originated from
another agents efforts or account. The originating agent shall receive a
10% commission taken from the gross. The OO shall receive his percentage
taken from the remaining 90% with the agent receiving his 8% commission
taken from the 90%. Agent shall use sound judgment and due diligence in
dispatching trucks to remain within the law and company policies when
loading and dispatching their trucks. Agent shall remain versed and
familiar with FMCSA regulations and Spitale, Co. policies. No hazardas
materials shall be transported on Spitale, Co. trucks. All loads must
run through company. Single coils weighing over 35,000# shall not be
transported without prior approval from Daniel Spitale. Oversize cargo
or cargo which is hazardous to transport will not be moved without
approval from Daniel Spitale. All OO leased to Spitale, Co. will operate
flatbed only type equipment.
Spitale Transportation will provide its agents with the posting services
that we currently utilize, DAT and IT. Each agent will need reasonably
high speed internet service in order for them to log into our provided
terminal. The agent terminal has our dispatch program for building
orders and sending out confirmations. The terminal also includes a
document file with all pertinent company credentials.
We understand that all freight companies are called upon from time to
time to move other types of freight; however the prospective agent
should be involved primarily in flatbed type freight.
